Solflow
A platform that owns infrastructure made from flow, defines the unit that proves it, and finances both. Three parts, and one order of work.
Solflow is the operating and financial arm. Heliogenesis stays the research and commons arm. The knowledge is open. The plant, the water and the yield are owned.
Stock and Flow
Every economic model assumes materials cost a fixed share of output. They do not. Materials come from a stock. The price of a stock rises with every tonne taken out. Sunlight, water and biology are a flow. The price of a flow does not rise with use.
Solflow moves production from stock to flow, one site at a time, and proves it with a unit that a fund can hold, a regulator can check and a market can trade.
Three Parts
-
Solflow Assets
Owns and runs sites in one region at a time. Solar, then water, then bioreactors, then materials, food and shelter. It earns from the sale of power, water, materials and food.
-
Solflow Standard
Defines the FLUX unit, one tonne of material made from flow instead of stock. Verified with sealed evidence, recorded on a public register. It sits in an independent foundation. Solflow never certifies its own units.
-
Solflow Capital
A blended fund. Philanthropic capital takes the first loss. Family offices sit in the middle. Development banks and institutions hold the senior share. No token. No retail product.
What a Site Looks Like
-
Solar
Power for the site and the grid. The panel is still mined and smelted, so it is a bridge and one of the things the later stages have to replace.
-
Water
Desalination with the site's own power. Water sold to farms and a town. A site pays for itself at this stage.
-
Bioreactors
Algae, bacteria and fungi grown on sunlight, water and air. The feedstock for everything after.
-
Materials
Polymers, fibres and building material from the feedstock. This is where the FLUX units come from.
-
Food
Protein and crops from the same water and the same biology, sold at local prices.
-
Shelter
Buildings from the site's own material. The stage that closes the loop.
The Order of Work
First, the unit
Publish the draft rules. Issue the first statements from sites that exist today. Get an independent reviewer to sign. Put it on the register.
Second, the fund
Raise against a unit that exists. A fund that deploys against verified tonnes is a product. A fund without one is one more infrastructure fund.
Third, the sites
Build the first site in a water-stressed coastal region. Solar and water first. The site issues its own units from the materials stage on.
Where the Idea Comes From
Heliogenesis maps the field, publishes the model and releases designs into the commons. A commons cannot own a desalination plant and cannot pay a return. Solflow takes the same stack and turns it into owned infrastructure with cash flows, a verified unit and a fund.
The evidence layer exists already: a sealed evidence bundle, selective disclosure without a master key, and a catalogue of projects that replace extracted inputs. Solflow puts them under one unit and one register.
